In a decade or two, I think we’ll look back at this year’s World Series in amazement – and it doesn’t even matter who will win.

There are many guys that will eventually be in the Hall of Fame that are members of both the Phillies and Yankees.

No brainers: Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Alex Rodriguez (considering the writers don’t punish him for the steriod admition), Pedro Martinez and Jamie Moyer.

Probable Hall of Famers: Andy Pettitte, Mark Teixeira and Ryan Howard.

Potential Hall of Famers: CC Sabathia, Chase Utley, Cliff Lee, Jorge Posada, Johnny Damon and Jimmy Rollins.

That’s 14 guys on both rosters that have good chances of ending up in the Hall of Fame.
